Everyday, people living with or affected by HIV in our community struggle with HIV stigma and discrimination. Burnett Foundation Aotearoa is dedicated to eliminating harmful HIV stigma and being a safe place for all.
When you give today, not only do you keep our doors open but you also keep our counselling sessions completely free for those who need them.
That was our Face to Face Fundraising team! Our friendly fundraisers are out in the public every day educating the public about our organisation, HIV in Aotearoa and what you can do to help Kiwis living with or affected by HIV.
The Burnett Foundation Aotearoa has been at the forefront of HIV prevention for the past 30 years. Born out of the gay community’s response to the AIDS epidemic, we fought for human rights and played an important role in decriminalising homosexuality in New Zealand in the early days.
Today, we’re Aotearoa’s largest HIV prevention and health services organisation, helping thousands of Kiwis every year.
Our vision is an Aotearoa with zero HIV transmission, where all people living with HIV thrive, and rainbow and takatāpui communities enjoy great sexual health.
He Aotearoa, kua whakakorengia te whakawhiti i te Whakaruhi Ārai Mate (HIV), kei te ora rawa atu te hunga i pāngia, ka whai mauri ora te hapori takatāpui me te hapori irawhiti.
Our goal is to end HIV transmissions in New Zealand by 2030, you can help with a gift today.
